Summer Wilson and Kaylah Tasser, two of the most promising ninth-graders in the state for JSerra High, took the top two spots in the girls small school freshman 1.83-mile race at the Fastback Invitational at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Wilson triumphed in 10:32.6 and Tasser clocked 10:36.6 in their high school debuts. The course consisted of two Valley loops, running up Switchbacks, then down National Guard Alley, followed by a right turn up the airstrip and another right turn into the gauntlet.
